I believe the Southchurch reverb in Fractal is inspired by the Bricasti M7. And it is beautiful. Is there a standalone reverb pedal you think cops that vibe? Doesn't need to be exact, just ballpark.
I agree that copying settings isn't really going to produce a similar result across 2 reverbs, but certain settings to have some relationship - decay, size (assuming its in metres), pre delay etc. If the Fractal settings aren't proving to be a helpful starting point, the Bricasti ones might be a better place to start, assuming the topology is somewhat similar. He has the settings for the FAS south church right there on his fractal, though. Comparing even remotely equivalent settings, the FAS south church is quite far from the bricasti settings. Not to mention all the settings that cannot be directly compared.
You basically have to compare by listening.
I ended up just ordering the VP4 yesterday. So yeah, @Boudoir Guitar I'm right there with you.
Is there a reverb pedal that does the reverb from that pedal?

I snagged an Atomic Firebox from GC used for $120 to have something cheap to use with a homebuilt powered cab in the house. I've gone onto pedal playground and put it together with everything from $350 to $1250 extra stuff... for the "cheap, unobtrusive rig to play in the house when I don't wanna go out to the office/jam room"...lol. You bastards.
I was trying to avoid spending over $800 on this little pedalboard setup. Since the Mk5:25 is just a little "screw around" setup for the living room () when I'm not using the QC, I figured I'd try to keep costs and size down.
With the stuff I already have on hand, I'd have wanted:
Another delay: $150ish
A reverb: $150ish
A tuner: $150ish
Small pedalboard: $100ish
That would've been less expensive. But not thaaaat much less expensive
And...well...as I've said, I do love me some Fractal.
Yeah man for sure. If I was building a big elaborate pedalboard the way I usually do, the VP4 could be a compelling choice. I thought building a smaller rig would be a lot less expensive than the VP4. And it kinda is but it's a lot closer than I expected and the Fractal effects are just so ridiculously good and the VP4 seems so flexible and powerful that I think it just makes sense. I'll know more when I get it in hand.I snagged an Atomic Firebox from GC used for $120 to have something cheap to use with a homebuilt powered cab in the house. I have suggested an FM3 in “which reverb pedal should I get?” Threads On more than one occasion.Yeah man for sure.
