Add taxes, add delivery, and it gets close to $800. How do I know? - I ordered one before (but returned it).Eh, wait a week or 2 and you can get one brand new for $55 more![]()

Still worth the warranty. Not that Fractal is unreliable (it ain't), but unless I'm saving 20-30%, I'd rather go new.Add taxes, add delivery, and it gets close to $800. How do I know? - I ordered one before (but returned it).
Agreed. And given how "settled" I feel after getting my AM4 (and now VP4), the new price was a bargain for me. I haven't been so done on gear in decades.Still worth the warranty. Not that Fractal is unreliable (it ain't), but unless I'm saving 20-30%, I'd rather go new.
This is for people who have a MIDI controller capable of sending MIDI Sysex, e.g Morningstar or Luminitefx.
These are the MIDI Sysex commands to set the AM4 to its different footswitch modes:

They are the same.Does the AM4 use the same amp/drive/fx/cab models as the big boys (Axe3, FM9, etc)? Or are they somehow neutered?
Hard to say. I actually don't care. I'm literally buying it for what it is now, which is a smaller Fractal that'll fit on my pedalboard with my other pedals more easily, and has a goddamn USB-C portSo has there been any consensus on whether we think the AM4 represents the tail end of Fractal’s current gen modeling or might be groundwork for what’s next?
L6 shouldn’t get to be the only one out here experiencing the joys of having their new modeling engine flogged to death by a bunch of us ungrateful mutants.
I would say there are tons of hints as to next gen w the release of AM4 and now IconsSo has there been any consensus on whether we think the AM4 represents the tail end of Fractal’s current gen modeling or might be groundwork for what’s next?

My math is coming up about the same.To answer question I do not think AM4 is next gen but more tail end or bridge
IMO given that it’s shared with the flagship AxeFx III that it would be the tail end.So has there been any consensus on whether we think the AM4 represents the tail end of Fractal’s current gen modeling or might be groundwork for what’s next?
If history repeats I don’t think Fractals next gen would sound fundamentally different than what we have now - the III didn’t sound much different on first release than the II.L6 shouldn’t get to be the only one out here experiencing the joys of having their new modeling engine flogged to death by a bunch of us ungrateful mutants.
