Fractal Audio Systems AM4 - Amp Modeler

This is a design flaw I’m surprised they didn’t iron out between the VP4 release and the AM4. Having to hold to bank up, or having to hit two buttons, hit a button for scenes or effects, wait 2 seconds, then be able to select the scene or effect is problematic at best in a live performance. There should be a fifth button - to switch between presets/effects or presets/scenes.

This is why I racked my VP4 and I use another MIDI controller to control it.
Nope. No more switches. Would be nice if you could use an attached pedal switch to do that, but if this thing were a millimeter bigger I'd go from cheerleader to

I think there will be more footswitch customization in the future
For now mine is custom
Switch 1 mode select
Switch 2 bank up
Switch 3 bank down
Switch 4 channels

Honestly I don’t use scenes at the moment as it harder to navigate and presets with gapless and spillover works out great

DOesn’t need more size. The Boss MS3 did it and it’s half the size. Fractal obviously has better effects, but you could have 3 loops and a stereo send on the MS3 along with 5 foot switches. There’s no reason Fractal couldn’t have added a 5th switch on the upper half right side of the unit.

That would take some engineering. Not saying it isn't doable, but its getting beyond a $700 device with that level of complexity of assembly:

I live in London. Fucking shit hole of a city. Every time I leave it, a little piece of my soul is restored, and I want to come back less and less.
I have an insane hatred for my home town in Germany.
Hence me leaving in my early 20s.
Having been back a few years after being gone a good 3 decades did not help.

Still hate it there. Hence me moving to Hungary a few months ago back.

What are people powering this thing with? Does it work off of 1000 mA with a current doubler, or does it really need 1500 mA? I know the HX Stomp specifies 3000 mA, but it runs just fine off of 1000.

For the VP4 I have used a One Spot CS6. It worked fine with one plug into the 500ma spots, but to be safe I use the current doubler from both 500ma plugs and it works fine. I only have had one other pedal at the same time on the same power supply, but it worked great.
