Joking aside, I just spent over an hour on the Nolly plugin from NDSP, on a single preset that has.......amp. cab. delay. reverb. The AM4 would be absolutely enough for me, without a doubt. And the best part? The absolute BEST FEATURE???!!!!

100% to this and the editor that I absolutely love w the colour coded channels

And the freaking reverb in groups. By Hall, Large ,Cloud
SFX , Spring etc so I am not looking for alphabetic order .

And the consolidated amp models and 100 presets instead of 412

Waffles have better low end, definitely tighter. Pancakes can get a bit tubby but that oh so syrupy mush can tame brittle high end. YMMV.

Pretty much all serious and large retailers offer 3 years warranty. That's not an USP of G66 IMO.

I think G66 is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, obstacle why not more Fractal products are sold in Europe compared to if they were available at regular retailers. Yes, G66 provides an amazing service and it makes you feel "VIP" because it's very nice. But it limits reach and it makes the products unnecessarily expensive. Besides, I've gotten great service from Thomann too so paying up to 25% premium for something that you can get from regular stores too.. is not very appealing.

Agreed. The AM4 is almost half the cost of the HX Stadium. At a few hundred less (closer to Fractal direct pricing + VAT, I'd probably have an order in.

I'm not usually one of the loudest complainers when it comes to G66's pricing. Those guys gotta eat, too. And yes, their warranty is 3 years. Nevertheless, the price for the AM4 seemed a bit high to me. So I made a table with the different Fractal products to see how much G66 actually charges extra per device. And I have to say, the additional charge for the VP4 and AM4 is quite steep, higher than for all other products. Until yesterday, the VP4 actually cost 100 EUR less, but G66 has now ‘adjusted’ this and brought it in line with the AM4.

I find that a bit questionable. But what can you do? I still want an AM4.

There was a thread about this related to AM4 on the Fractal forum.

It was cleaned up and Matt said it's "under investigation".

hi, considering that currently the 699usd of the am4 would be equivalent to 602 eur the price on g66 is not too high? they currently sell at 910 + shipping -> 300 eur more? with this price it gets closer to an fm3 (expecially used!) any particular reason why this price? it will go down after launch?

Hopefully before long, international folks can order straight from the Fractal page. I'm sure G66 could still act as a repair center like different music stores are authorized amp repair centers?

Fook me, I just had a look and they've put the vp4 up by £100 in the UK to match the AM4. Robbing bastards.

Thing is that those 600€ after shipping and tax let’s see…fir Germany
600 turns into 820€. For Hungary 870
And warranty be US.
But the upcharge is ludicrous with no other dealers and obviously G66 getting dealer/distributor pricing (as they should).

That said if they had stock I’d busted out the plastic beginning of the week.
The longer it takes the more likely sanity returns.

It's a bit weird that they dropped prices on all Fractal gear like a month ago and suddenly the AM4 comes out and the VP4 is back up to 945€ to match the AM4

That worked really well...

Warranty is honestly the least of my concerns with Fractal. They tend to last, therefore longer warranty is kinda pointless and certainly not a reason to pay more. EU standard 2 years is plenty.

Point was if you’re referring to my post. That unless you buy from G66 it has to go to the US for warranty.

As for lasting, out of 5 fractal products 2 had to get serviced in the US. The others were stuff that were easily enough fixed by myself. Like ribbon connector coming loose.

But the “tend to last” mind set even if the gear never leaves the man cave I’m not doing.
Cause, what can break, will break.
Usually at the least opportune moments.

So for me I would Mosdef want “local” warranty.
