Fractal Audio Systems AM4 - Amp Modeler

Perhaps Gen IV is a little further off than we think?
I really think it is.
Another thing I'll add, is I don't get the impression Cliff feels he needs to "compete" in order to stay relevant. Like for example, I would not be surprised at all if he has not changed any of his business plans for the future because of the Stadium and all it entails.

Is there any disadvantage to the AM4 vs the VP4 if using it for effects-only in the loop of my MK VII? Like, besides not having a few of the effects available, is there anything about the circuit that would make the VP4 a better choice?

It would be cool to use it like I use my VP4 but also have fractal amps available when needed, as backup, etc.

I don't think you can run more than one delay or reverb at the same time if that would be an issue.

Thats an awesome setup. I irrationally want to collect the Ibanez 7 series line, might actually put that plan into action

Found this guy on reddit, glorious:

I had a few of those pedals and really regret getting rid of them when I did (and for so cheap!). That Chorus / Flanger in particular was sooooo fun. It was also fun to annoy my brother with. Effects pedals can really add an extra layer to being a younger sibling.

We're going off topic so I wont harp on about it, but yeah the CF7 is almost the genesis of what got me looking at it all... limp bizzzzkit effects. They modelled it in the Wes Borland STL Amphub plugin. I'd already been considering it well before that came out but its still neat to see it in digital form. The line is so fugly and terminator2 and 90s, love it.

I’m thinking more about the signal path, like how the VP4 shares the pristine, optimized path of the AxeFXIII, derived from the FX8, if I recall correctly. Whereas the FM3 does not. Does the AM4?

I didn't even know that connection! That's almost certainly why my brother talked me, who I think only had a BD-2 at that point, into getting one lol

Also, yeah, idk I love the aesthetic!!
