Fwiw, anyone cares to share any insights on the device latency with the loop active?
The list is trimmed down a bit but the essential stuff is in there. We removed things like "Viscous Homologater Diode Reverse Leakage Gamma Flux" and such.
No one is asking the important questions here
What's the boot time?
Yes.@FractalAudio Does this have the same selection of Dynacab mics as other Fractal units?
Might be easier to answer if you had some specific switching ideas in mind?

On top of being great with a pedalboard or combined with something like a VP4, I think this could also be very nice for people who like their current modeler's multifx etc, and don't need a whole new all-in-one, but want to upgrade or change the amp modeling aspect, sort of like how a lot of people are using the Tonex with the Helix / HX Stomp.

Well, on both the HX thingies and the GTs, I'm usually switching between A/B things and preselect additional things for either A or B.
For instance: With the Stomp one switch is always dedicated to switch between a clean and dirt "channel" (on the Stomp it's usually just some drive and EQ, due to CPU limitations), which are running on separate paths. The other switches can then be used to modify path A and B. So, whenever I switch, say, a modulation on on path A, it stays active there but won't be audible as soon as I switch to path B.
Another favourite of mine is switching multiple things with one switch, such as pre-boost, post-EQ and some spatial FX. In fact, that's *the* most used "make a lead sound of everything" since decades already (started doing so with my very first loopswitcher based setup).
So, I might use switch 1 to switch channels (as above) and switch 2 for that "lead trick". Will give me the 4 most essential sounds I always need with just 2 switches.
This would be way beyondThere’s the answer to helix stomp
It's not a 'traditional" effects loop. It's an insert (stereo) at the analog output section. digital
So you can't insert, say, any dirt pedals pre amp?
Ah, at the very tail end of the signal chain, so there's no conversion back? It's not a 'traditional" effects loop. It's an insert (stereo) at the analog output section. digital
Yes, put them before the AM4. :)
