Yes you can use all 4 blocks as effects if you wanted without a amp/cab block.

You can move the amp/cab block anywhere you want.

That's a pretty powerful box in its own right. I think the only block I'd personally truly miss is the Plex Delay.

Actually, I'd like that to be an option even for showing the controls of any of the blocks in the main screen with whatever channel you have selected.

So, for those in the knows (before I reach for the manual, which I really don't feel like for now): Are the footswitches at least sort of configurable as the ones on the bigger boys? As in "I can perform about any function"?

I hope that's possible?

Just saw that the new FM3 beta expands the number of DynaCabs to match the III and FM9, however I wonder if those units are getting all the DynaCabs from the AM4.

Might not be as advanced as you'd like but on the VP4 it was actually perfectly flexible but not too overblown where you just settled in with a mode and stuck with it?

Default "tap/hold" configuration is Gig Mode, see JT's post above.

You can also select Custom, where you can set the 4 switches to:

- select Mode (Preset/Scene/Effect/Tuner/Amp)
- Bank +-
- Preset +-
- Scene +-
- select Channel
and maybe more, I forgot.

Absolutely. Advanced params are available in Expert Edit mode.

Looks kinda decent - but I'm not sure I'd really like it too much, being used to the super flexible switching the HX and GT ecosystems have on offer (and which I'm actually using a *whole* lot).

The list is trimmed down a bit but the essential stuff is in there. We removed things like "Viscous Homologater Diode Reverse Leakage Gamma Flux" and such.

I thought it was a step in a good direction on the VP. Might be easier to answer if you had some specific switching ideas in mind?
