(It’s awesome!)

So why do the AM4 and VP4 not have a block library on the unit again? I would love to be able to recall my favorite settings for blocks on unit.

The thing everything in this sector dodges, no matter what brand; is giving you the "full enchilada" in the small package. If you made the AM4 the shrunken FM9; you'd still have to charge around the same amount as the full size for it. And you'd be removing your entry level/gateway drug option.
Yep. They are methodical about which blocks are in which unit to make each unit have its own merits.
I had an fm3 then the 9 then when I wanted a multicomp and 2 pitch blocks, the III. Even those contemplating an AM4/Vp4 combo will miss out things on the 9 plus the block count.
Reference chart

All in all, I just ordered an fm9. So I'll bastardize an fm9 and am4 setup to cover most. The AM4 as a small simple travel option is also perfect.

yeah I just tried cleans with it - just defaults - its kind a neat sound actually - but yeah I don't see it with heavy riffs
It’s kind of against convention, but I adore a space echo into the front of a slightly to moderately crunchy amp where you can roll down the dirt with the guitar volume. If I’m using a 1959, there’s a 90% chance it’s paired with a space echo up front. It’s not always on, but it’s almost its own instrument when it is.
