I wouldn’t begrudge them for doing it. They could make a compelling FAS Timeline, Big Sky, Mobius, Dig, El Cap etc. But I’d be curious to see if FAS could penetrate the pedal market, even with their killer algos. The big pedal companies have design aesthetics and marketing that aren’t particularly strengths of FAS, and if the core user base already has these tones in multiple form factors, I’d be curious how they’d land in the market.

If they’re going the pedal route, I would hope it’s with a new effect type/pairing or some sort of novel control scheme etc.
Nah, not a Timeline. Either the plexdelay block in pedal format or the multi-delay block in pedal format. If someone is game for a timeline or bigsky, they’re probably game for the VP4.

The problem with the MTD block is that to expose all the delay lines and modulation params means menu diving or a lot of secondary functions. Let me think this through with another cup of coffee. :ROFLMAO:

Person buys pedal with one block in it; AMAZED at how deep while still being useful it is; person checks out Axe-Fx and realizes this isn’t even the tip of the iceberg, person also no longer overwhelmed with menus since they learned how to do it in context of one single box; world domination.

IMHO something with the form, function, and price similar to a Big Sky would have too much overlap with the VP4.

I would guess it's something with the same chassis as the VP4 and AM4, but a complementary function. I doubt they would follow those so closely with something that doesn't share manufacturing with them. Perhaps a looper?

Yeah, I do miss the looper in the AM4.

My guess is poweramp.
