I don’t have either of these plugins, but it looks like it takes them roughly 4-5 months to port two plugins, given that Gojira and Plini plugin compatibility came out in August.

Kind of bummed it wasn’t the Nolly and Parallax plugins I picked up on sale, but I guess I can always just run them on my Mac and wait for them to be ported.

I’d like to think the more they port, the easier it will be for them. They’re also strategically dropping them around the holiday, which is kind of shady but I get it.

Well, not exactly shady. It makes perfect business sense, and it's worthwhile noting that the plugins can be used independently of Quad Cortex ownership. This will help rake in money that can go towards paying salaries for developers, etc.

I'm also hoping that they speed up the pace of porting plugins. But it's worth noting that there were a few FX added and some upgrades like momentary footswitch capability in the latest CorOS. So hopefulliy, development of the core product will continue.

Isnt there already a SLO-100 in the QC?
Nameless is pretty rad, if I had a QC rig I'd be reaching for that one as well when it drops

I don't exactly know why, but I think the plugin SLO100 is better than the QC one it came with. Could be bullshit I suppose, I'll double check.

A year ago they posted how they had been working" meticulously in them for 2 1/2 years and when Core came out in a few months they would be releasing them. They also said to celebrate you could buy one and get one free and I did along with a QC. They then bragged about how their TINA made it so easy to do the captures.

And a year later they have my money and I have no plugins for the QC. When I asked for a refund 3 months ago they refused but in themworst possible response thanked me for my "patience". Bring it up in their forum and you get attacked and post deleted.

Not to say the QC is not a great piece of gear as is, but their business practices suck and at this point consider the plugins vaporware.

That's hard, man. When I got my Quad in July, a month down the line they announced plugin compatibility and to boot, owners got a plugin of their choice for free.

There are now four plugins that are compatible, so I wouldn't call it vaporware.

That said, I can understand why people would be pissed if they were early adopters. I still think the device has a lot more that needs to be done to bring it on par with the offerings from companies like Kemper and Fractal in terms of FX options.

But as far as core tones, I really like it. But that's just me.

I'm having a good outcome so far with using the QC into a power amp and regular guitar cab. It isn't my primary reason for getting a modeler/profiler, but it is one of the things that separates them the most (for feel and sound quality).

I mean did you think you'd get a refund for a device you'd owned for quite some time? 🤣
I did't ask for a refund for the QC which I have. It was for the plugins which I still cannot use with my QC, I do not use DAW for my guitars in my studio, and they have had my money going in 18 months now.
