How in the world is Mindcrime a let down?

Rage was so original, innovative and modern. I just thought Mindcrime wasn’t musically as good. It seemed that they put a wet finger in the air to see what would sell better. Less vision, more pop.

I was so disappointed to see QR after Chris had left. I got into them too late. Empire & Mindcrime are my 2 faves!

Yeah. They were amazing live with DeGarmo. Rockenfield also pulls that stuff off live, too, like an absolute machine.


I made it to track 3 of Empire. I hate that song.

Promised Land is my 2nd fav Ryche album after Rage For Order!

Yeah, Rage for Order is one of the top 3 albums in the 80s. Right up there with Rising Force and Master of Puppets.

I’ll check out Promised Land if you promise it’s better than Empire.

Edit - well, I’ll admit that I judged them too harshly. Promised Land is excellent so far.

To me, master of puppets was Metallicas finest moment. Ride the lightening is one of my favorites, master of puppets stepped it up a notch. So much awesome music from that era. Back to queensrÿche, promised land was great too. For me Empire was my favorite. If i could ever see the original lineup back on stage, id be one happy girl.
