Finally Nailed That Early Van Halen Tone !!11!!!

Had a little one-on-one Q&A session wif Jim Gaustad this evening, and even though I had a lot of things figured out on my own, I was missing a couple of puzzle pieces.

Jim gave me the missing information, and now I have finally nailed that early VH tone !

Unless those beams are made of basswood/poplar/alder, you didn't nail it.

Also, it looks the the cross stroke on the letter t has been stapled together (I could be wrong, picture quality?) It should be done with Elmer's wood glue used by Norm Abrams in Yankee Workshop during season 2 to get that tone just right.
