Lots of things for MIDI people. Sparse amps yet again.

In order of personal appreciation:

Hiwatt - Direly needed remediation there. Looking forward to trying it.

Fender '65 Twin Reverb Blonde - Another copy-paste from the Tone Master line. This is a "new amp," even though it's just the Twin Reverb they already had with a bright cap mod and a speaker swap. Three months' work for every new amp! Umm, ok.

Diezel - High gain people will like this, I'm sure.

Fender Bassman TV - Esoteric 2000's 1x15" bass amp that apparently Justin Meldal-Johnsen had been asking for. As long as he's happy.

The modeler company with the least appreciation for the long and storied history of vintage Fender amplifiers remains Fender.

More progress by inches on a bunch of different fronts, fully catching up on none of them. IMO.

I'm sure many people are happy to be getting more delays and reverbs and synths. That seems to be their target audience - people who don't need much amp range, but want to go all in on effects. There's a market there for sure.

You really should sell the Turdblaster and move on. I can tell everytime you talk about it that it makes you twitch. There's too much other great stuff out there to waste time on something that frustrates you.
 
That's a pretty kickass update. The synths and reverbs look cool, and I'm sure I'll hear a good demo video soon. I'm loving the way that top-tier amp modelers are just leaving it all out there as of late. The first half of this year was sleepy city, but it is banger after banger now.

Congrats to TMP owners, and yeah...might be time to pack it up, @ChordInversion. Don't wait another 6 months to be bummed out again, bro.

You're not wrong.

To be fair, I have lots of that other stuff, too. :D FM9T, GT-1000CORE, ACS1, Tonex, Ampli-Firebox (those last two likely to be sold soon), Stadium on order, too. Not to mention multiple Blues Cube amps, a THR100HD, a Nextone Special, and a Katana Artist MKII, with a Gen3 likely on my shopping list. I assure you that I spend most of my time enjoying all that stuff.

It just blows my mind that the one company that will hit you over the head with their storied legacy at every other possible opportunity couldn't care less about it when they do their own high end modeler. It's less frustrating than just weird. They'll stuff the device with (cool, I admit) synth stuff, but avoid the large majority of Fender amps that don't have a current Tone Master physical model like the plague. But include multiple Blues Juniors and Bassbreakers. Wha!?!?

The Fender Tone Master Pro team couldn't give a rat's ass about many vintage (even more recent vintage, like a Super-Sonic or a Dual Professional or an Excelsior or...) Fender amps (or a range of amps that are great for indie, roots, blues, or classic rock), and I can't get my wee little head around it.

I still think that their marketing department and bean counters are bogging the developers down. The average person wants the vintage and/or exotic stuff that is otherwise beyond their grasp. Plexis, Dumbles, tweeds, etc. only a marketing department that is oblivious to the market outside their own product line would prioritize Blues Junior and Bassbreaker models over amps that are not in their current catalog.

Yeah, that tracks.

I will note that the synth stuff in this update is quite impressive. Polyphonic, no tracking issues whatsoever. I'm not a guitar synth person, but at least that is a distinctive thing that goes beyond "we have pictures of amps and pedals and knobs on our touchscreen."

It's what I did with Boss and I couldn't be more happier about that decision. I use the GM800 because there is nothing else doing that but that is it.

From the TMP Discord, one of Fender's TMP deve team:

"the cool thing about our synths is they actually don’t “trigger” notes like some other guitar synths with midi do. they actually transform your input signal into the synth tone through specialized processing. this gives you the best tracking experience you’ll find on the market and also allows you to create synths out of any audio input even beyond guitar"

It's a cool feature, no doubt about that. I am not a guitar synth payer, but for people who are, it's likely something special.
 
There was an SY300 (@BROCKSTAR ?) preset for Stranger Things over on VGF years ago. It was pretty neat. They might want to check the blurbs for the SY series before claiming they invented guitar synths without a dedicated pickup.
