My phone has a USB-C port too.
Not sure if that makes it more like a Katana.

Now, if they allowed you to save multiple presets in regards to channel, EQ and effects on the Champion, while also making them footswitchable with a decent size footswitch, it would be more like the Katana. It also wouldn't suck if you only played clean stuff.

I just got a Champion 50XL to be used as a powered cab for modellers.

It´s got a Celestion Midnight 60 in it, it´s got 50W SS power amp, and it weighs 9 kg.

It´s still to be checked live to be sure it´s a good stage monitoring option, which is my intention, and what I´m seeing so far is very promising. No IRs, just the modeller amplified with a real guitar speaker and cab.

For me, it´s the only use I would give to an amp like this, honestly... the built-in sims are not better than the cheapest multieffects in the market. I suppose the Champion II has improved sims, though.
