Marks are the opposite of "unforgiving" IMO. They're so compressed and tight and fluid they hide all sorts of mistakes.

Even in my middle age, Beavis and Butt-head never gets old.
Thanks! I had a Deliverance 60 II and it was a little loose and a tad sludgy to me. Absolutely
Massive, though.
You thinking more along the lines of a Pitbull.... or a Sig X?
Yep, unboosted the Savage is the tightest of them all.As far as ENGL goes... I'd suggest the Savage only. The others are not super tight without a boost. […]

This is the tightest amp I have ever played through.Ah, I haven't tried that one yet.
Unfortunately, it's a little bit out of my price range. This is the tightest amp I have ever played through.
They go down a lot second hand.Unfortunately, it's a little bit out of my price range.![]()
QFE.Cut out most of the bass in front of the amp and it will sound pretty tight and dry.
Absolutely, that pedal is Fryetter/Hiwatter maker for meQFE.
Something like a VFE Standout or Broughton High Pass Filter or Empress EQ with a tunable high pass would tighten up any amp.
There's some pedals that I find to make amps feel "faster", I have a Kasleder Mean Bone that does it, or @Ed DeGenaro wrote about the Rodenberg Lukather pedal having a similar thing going.

Pitbull amps are the ones to get if you want tight, dry, and immediate. The CLX, Ultra Lead, and Classic 100 would all fit that bill. If you want a preamp solution the GP3, GP/DI, and the Synergy UL module are all voiced that way as well. The Deliverance was intentionally designed to be have a softer / more vintage feel. The Sig:X is supposed to be the swiss army amp of the Fryette lineup and can be dialed in to be tight and dry or to have a more forgiving sag. Thanks! Depends what one and how much gain. JVM 410 OD1 Orange gain on 5 and no problem.Surely I'm not a lone here. I find Marshall-style amp much harder to play fast riffs and leads.
