I wish Line 6 the greatest success. I don’t feel they’ll be able to compete in the long run. I might be wrong. We’ll see. Once achieved, commodities flood markets. I believe modeling, captures, and effects are quite close to being in that category.
Fell free to spend whatever you like though. It’s something I spend a lot on now.
You needed a revelation on headphone selection like 2 months ago, and you expect me to take your opinion seriously on modeling quality? Lmfao 🤡

Why in the long run,? Stadium already seems ahead in the gui dept as to what the screen can do

You know, the only reason line 6 doesn’t have the same effect on underage girls that you said your marshall does is the playback system. It’s not a modeling problem, it’s a monitoring problem. Digital igloo will hook you up with the link. By the way we have the chat logs you know.

I would hope. $799 would my bite point. I don’t need the extras beyond modeling and effects.
HX Stomp is $699.99 right now based on parts, tooling, and labor that were all locked in back in 2018. How are we supposed to improve the thing and deal with inflation and [thing we're not supposed to talk about] for a measly $100? P'shaw.

Obligatory.

Because it’s easy to ignore that the average price of a car is now $50k, and think all guitar gear should be the same or cheaper.

I was just saying to my wife that it really feels like I’m (and all of us are in the same boat) robbed of the feeling of financial success in my career - as I get paid more things cost dramatically more and things have just felt the same for me for the last 10 years. First world problems etc etc, I’m fortunate to pay the bills and have a little extra, but FUCK 😭

Not to mention the cost of health insurance, car insurance, electricity, not using electricity, food, water, gas. Everything but the wages. Go figure.

It's such a common theme today, that I have to wonder, HOW TF DID ALL THOSE RUSH TICKETS, AT THOSE CRAZY-AS-FUCK PRICES, SELL OUT SO FAST?

Seriously, are people just kicking the can further down the road, putting it on a credit card, and just thinking, "Oh well, I really want to see them, so I'll deal with it later"???

I honestly don't get it. 4-night runs, in 20K-seat arenas, sold out in what, a day??!! $500- $2000 tickets! UFB

Sorry for the derail...

Rush might have a good new female drummer but for me It wouldn’t be the same seeing them live without Neil performing with his kit.
It’s like the Stones without Charlie making drumming seem so effortless behind a small kit .
I put money on Mick still going as the stones when Keith and Ronnie are both pushing up daisies .

Anymore scalpers make up a significant amount of limited quantity purchases.

I wonder what those $500-$2000 are going for now?

Yeah, but it's not really that large of a %. :idk

I've looked at seating charts of various arenas, and the amount of tickets for sale, ALL by resellers, is probably about 5%.

And I'm thinking even those "scalpers" are largely just "regular people", who think the shows will be in such demand that they can make a profit on those ticket purchases. I really don't think that's gonna happen myself. Especially if those purchasers thought those dates were the only ones. Then Rush goes and adds a bunch of other dates tacked on the end, and then goes back and makes all of those dates 2-nighters.

There were a lot of "travel packages" purchased that now aren't necessarily needed. What a way to create an artificial demand. :hmm

That's how I felt too. I might have considered it if it were Mike Portnoy or Gavin Harrison, but even then, the last dates are a year away, and these guys are in their 70's. A lot could happen in that time. Plus, these dates are asking a lot of a couple of septuagenarians, playing prog rock. We're not taking about simple RS songs.

I was just really surprised at how fast they "flew off the shelves" so to speak, when every conversation about new gear usually involve some type of comments about how the cost-of-living has gone crazy lately.

And yet I just paid $2.83/gallon this morning for gasoline!! WTF?? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not complaining, just saying a lot of it doesn't seem to make sense to me. The only thing I've seen recently that does make sense, is PRS' 15% sale on certain models.

Never underestimate the fanaticism of Rush fans. Speaking for myself, and I'd bet many others aren't far off, I'm pretty certain this will be my last opportunity to see Alex and Geddy live playing their music. I was really bummed I missed R40, then doubly so a few years later when Neil passed. At first I completely blanched at the $, but later reconsidered. I got two seats for less than half what I'll be shelling out for a Stadium XL to play in my bedroom. :idk I'll be meeting my Rush buddy from the dawn of the 80s, too, seeing him for the first time in about 20 years.

If it costs me 10-20 dinners out over the balance of my life, so be it.

I'm also intrigued by their choice of drummer, and glad they didn't just grab someone who would approach the tour like a gig in a Rush tribute band. By going outside the box they are letting their catalog grow/evolve, at least a little, which I suppose is par for the course for those guys.
