During the Helix era they added a POD Express and POD Go too, although it seems the old xt/HD500 lines are defunct.

I've had a Helix for a little over 9 years. So pretty close to the entire run. I'm in for the XL. Line 6 built some trust with the original Helix so making the buy decision early is a lot easier.

I love my HX Stomp one of the best audio purchases I've made in my life! But they are too much money for me and my use cases, I would rather buy a used tube amp or used guitar with that kind of money and this applies for all top tier modelers out there YMMV.

I understand this. But most people have a bunch of guitars and an amp is only one tone. Maybe you can get three tones out of it and if you already have a helix platform, I can see why jumping to the newest would be not really necessary yeah it is more expensive than things in this area have been. Unfortunately it’s how things go in this realm. The old 599$ became 1000$ became 1500$ becomes 2000$ .
It’s completely opposite of say TVs that keep going down in price or even computers, but I think it’s because this area is not so popular in big number so to speak

I did! I went for the XL. I would have gotten the normal stadium but the scribble strips are just too good and I use them every day, every single time I use the Helix so I figured I would regret not having them.

I have the XL on pre-order from Sweetwater. I jumped on it in the 1st couple of days after it was announced, though I am currently using Fractal gear. I'm not certain that I will go ahead with that though at this point. I'll have to see what (if anything) Fractal comes out with, and when the time comes, I'll have to decide if it's worth it to me to be an early adopter.
