Yeah but it’s a lot more fun to imagine DI sitting at his desk marking our accounts so we only get 85% accurate amps.
You better delete that. Don’t put that out into the world. You’re going to give them ideas!Since it has wifi, they could add an in-app purchase option right on the device to unlock the other 15% "BETTER"!!!![]()
Interesting. I just got off the phone with MF and they say the discount CAN NOT be used for a pre-order on the Helix Stadium. I have one on pre-order with Sweetwater but at full price.Same exact situation here. I was debating about it and was going to wait. After finding a coupon that actually worked, I decided I couldn't pass it up.
So they realize too many people were using the coupon and they were losing too much money so they canceled it on this or they just didn’t input it correctly originally and then realized that after losing so much moneyInteresting. That is certainly an opinion on the InternetHonestly, this thing is being launched half baked.
It depends on how you look at it, but when the Axe-Fx III launched, it carried forward the same stuff from the II. The amp modeling was a little better, but it wasn't a massive difference. Major improvements didn't come until much later. The older cabs were also carried forward in a legacy subsection as well.I won't be getting one any time soon.
No interest in running tracks from my guitar processor. I'll be sticking with the FM9T for a long while.
Honestly, this thing is being launched half baked. The concept of legacy amps and FX is gross to me. There must be a reason they feel the need to rush this thing out the door. I do have a lot more faith in L6 delivering on promises than NDSP.
Iirc they didn't have III specific modeling until 2021? Until then it was Ares, right? I think the III got Ares first and then they were able to port some of it to the II. I got the III relatively early when it was still on Ares. I still have the MK I. I noticed that the feel was a little better vs the II. Cygnus was the next major improvement and I did think that was a major improvement.Iirc they didn't have III specific modeling until 2021? I think Cyngus was the next naming convention after Ares but I don't know for sure
I did the same thing. I went back and forth a bit about which version and whether to even get it at all. I'm not playing live, but I still like to have the scribble strips to keep everything labeled, so I can remember where everything is assigned. The pedal wasn't a huge deal, but I've been looking for something portable and having it built in can be convenient. Also, I'm extremely impatient and didn't want to wait.I preordered the xl. Really wanted the scribble strips, didn't want the pedal (but promised myself I'd make an effort to use it this time--on my LT it was just a convenient place to set picks). But the biggest deciding factor was "fall" versus "winter". I'm too old to be patient, green bananas and all that.
This is basically how they released the Helix. They didn’t just DROP the Pod HD line immediatelyI won't be getting one any time soon.

They probably thought the moment was right to release an MVP that would sell more now than in 1 or 2 years when there's more stuff finished. There must be a reason they feel the need to rush this thing out the door
