Email there was no expectation I could see
As far as I know, there was no public code that worked (July4 code doesn't work for example). The only ones that people seemed to be getting to work were private ones that could only be used once. If it was one that someone else wasn't going to use and posted it somewhere, it could have been used by someone else first. If it was one that he received privately and it stopped working, then that would mean that they disabled them and it was a mistake that they worked in the first place. I was just curious because it's not an item I would expect to be eligible for discounts. I was kind of wondering if they messed something up in allowing the coupons to work.

I haven’t used mine yet, but I did try it yesterday and it worked giving me 15% off of the stadium so I screenshot it. It went into guitar center and they matched it plus I had a bunch of credits from using my synchrony card in the past so I didn’t really technically use itso today I went and try it again and it’s not working

With the pile of amps you have at your disposal; a plugin should be a non-concern. I get why people want a FAS plugin but it would never stop me.
I’m loving tracking through the amps, but the jury is still out on whether that workflow is going to scale. If I permanently move to the amps for production stuff, then an FM9 may eventually become viable for rehearsals and live performance.

I’ll bet it’s $999.
This was the number I had in my head as well.

Maybe Sweetwater and other stores asked MF to pull off the code not to affect every store sales in a product that is selling like hot cake.

I see. If it no longer works, then it really was pulled since you didn't use it to make the purchase yet. Usually codes have some restrictions to them and things that are not eligible. They might have messed something up and realized it after the orders started coming in.

That would be my guess as well. The stadium was too high priced of a product and maybe they made a mistake and they pulled it after they realize so many people were using their coupon to buy a super expensive item.

To me, the FM9 sounds noticeably better. Some are of the opinion that Fender has gotten close, and a few models are especially good, but I don't think it hangs with the FM9. And the effects on the FM9 are much better overall to my ear, though the TMP reverbs are quite good. I especially like the TMP amps that have the reverb and trem controls included in the amp, like the corresponding amp would have.

The TMP on-unit interface and controls are great. It's very much a "never read the manual" kind of product. I find the TMP most useful for taking the place of some amps for practice purposes. Plug in, dial in for the guitar and the idea, maybe throw in a dirt pedal (I just use a real one, as it takes them in the front very well), and play. The amp selection is spare and includes at least a couple of poor choices. Some don't care, but I find that to be a glaring shortcoming for a product that's nearly two years old and marketed (and priced) as a competitor to top tier modelers.

I prefer working in the FM9 editor over the TMP editor (which is very much like the on-unit interface, just on a computer), and I would never make a complex preset or set of scenes on the unit anyway. The TMP's scenes functionality is not as mature as either Line6 or Fractal, in large part because they didn't decide to add it until something like a year after release.

I got the TMP out of curiosity and as an "easy" modeler. And that's what it is. It doesn't lead on sound quality or range. At the current development pace, they're not catching up, instead probably falling further behind the established two (Fractal and Line6). Some amps are probably better than corresponding amps on the Helx, but of course that was a long in the tooth product, and the Stadium models and Agoura will be their new standard.

IMO, the TMP doesn't have a distinctive sonic or functional value add territory, something that it does that the other modelers don't, or something that it does remarkably better. They didn't focus on absolutely crushing it in terms of selection and quality of their own brand's products and history, which will always seem utterly weird to me. It's all about the interface.

Appreciate your detailed write-up! Sounds very fair.

More likely MF realized they should not have offered the sale on a pre-order and corrected their own mistake. I highly doubt MF would listen to a request from Sweetwater, or that Sweetwater would call and ask because I am pretty sure that would be illegal price collusion in the US.

Yeah my rep said the discount was very close to the price SW paid to have access to the stadium

Unless line6 contacted them

Andertons have both Stadiums for preorder in the UK.

Well... they only let you put in a £99.00 preorder deposit, towards an unknown future price.
