I loved my FM9 a ton. Stellar tones and more capabilities than I could ever use.

But if I didn’t have anything at the moment - I would definitely go for the Stadium XL until the next gen FM9 comes out instead of waiting like that guy. As fickle as us guitarists can be - and as good as these top-shelf modelers hold value - he could be enjoying the XL in the meantime - then sell it for the new FM9 if he feels it’s still warranted. And if he gets a decent deal up front on the Stadium, he can recoup most of his costs. So in the end it’ll be like renting the Stadium for a few coffees a month or something.

I would expect the Axe4 before any next gen FM series and that appears to be at least a year out, so realistically, probably 3 years plus before the next gen FM9, and another 6 months for the version with a headphone jack? That guy is either nuts or full of crap.

I wish I wouldn't have now. Mine is in some sort of f$%^&$ limbo, being one of the ones that was statused as "shipped" on Nov 1 but recalled. Based on the original tracking number, no indication that UPS has it yet. No new notification of any sort from GC with a different number. There still statusing as "shipped" and banked my money 17 days ago. Seems like guys ordering today are getting shipped today, presumably shipped in the sense their unit is being given to a carrier for delivery. Gah!

Same thing here. I decided to call and they said it would probably go out tomorrow. They said they have a huge amount that they're going to try to send out in the next few days. That's all I could find out for now.

Same here - they told me they've been shipping a bunch today and that mine is expected to be shipped tomorrow morning.

Yeah, but mine is 17 days stale which is making me nervous since they've had my money and made a shipping label 18 days ago. I'm waiting on a call back from a random "pro gear advisor" at GC who's going to try (who knows how hard) to talk to someone in shipping to see where it's really at. I'm concerned they had it queued up on the loading dock Nov 1, got the stand down order, and stuck it in some dusty corner out of the way where it's been forgotten. $2K give or take is a lot of money for me.
