Did You Have Posters On Your Walls?

I didn't get serious about guitar until 16, and lined my bedroom walls with the pull out
2 page Posters from Guitar For The Practising Musician.

Randy, Vivian, Gary Moore, KK and Glenn, Rudolf and Mathias, Eddie, George, Warren,
and Robbin all lined my walls.

I am still that kid deep down inside. :beer

Kenny Roberts.
Both awesome riders!

Eddie had a column in Motorcyclist Magazine, and his descriptions of how he rode blew my mind! Since he came up riding on dirt, he (Kenny too, I believe) had no problem sliding the bike on asphalt also. He said he'd hit the throttle coming out of a turn, the bike would wheelie, (this is while the bike was leaned over) he'd let off to set the front tire back down, then exit the corner.

And sometimes he said he wouldn't even do that, but instead, "throttle steer" the rear tire! He went on to say the Americans were completely fine with bumping each other, but it would freak out the European riders, since they weren't used to sliding a 1000cc race bike around on pavement!

Just crazy, riding-at-the-limit shit!

I'm pretty sure I recall reading that Kenny Roberts once cut his own tires for a rain race, essentially creating rain slicks. And won the race by some crazy-wide margin.

I remember I had a The Wall poster, a Porsche 911, Azzurra (an Italian racing sail boat), a white baby seal, a big picture of the PAN aka Frecce Tricolore (the italian air force acrobatica team), a picture of a group of free horses and few other planes.

Hellz yeah!

I grew up watching flat track with my dad

I have memories of going to Flat Track Races with my Dad before he left. He
raced Flat Track in the 1970s. We'd weekend warrior it (the whole dang family!)
to Peoria or Indy.... or some podunk County Fair race somewhere in Ohio. He
even studded up my YZ80 in the winters of 1976 to 1978 and we'd do flat tracking
on the ice. That was fun. For everyone but my Moms.

He kind of ended up loving motorcycles and the vagabond life a bit too much.

I still like to watch it in the Summer when they have the AMA National Series. :clint

Now that I've been thinking about it more, I used to have this Batman Returns poster when I was much younger:

I remember it getting taken down and eventually replaced with this:

I don't think I've ever heard a CC song, just thought the guitar was cool. I eventually grew out of this cringe and took it down

I remember going to a friend's house as a teen to spend the night, and in his bedroom
he had all of these oiled up men on his walls. Freaked me the fuck out.

My Mom wouldn't even let me put a poster of Farrah up and this nice, little Christian
boy was plastering his walls with greased up, over- muscled, mostly naked men. WTF??! :idk
