I apologise for derailing the derailment of the thread, but I think I would like to buy this unit and none of my usual purveyors of noisy goods seem to have any in stock. Anyone know of anyone in Europe that's got any?

You may have a chance at a B stock at Thomann if any of this is true:

Null testing worse than the Sonicake is -for NAM purposes- catastrophically bad if correct.

By comparison - in Leo's recent Null tests - the Sonulab, which does a NAM-import-conversion, Null tests better than the QC, beaten only by the Tonex -by a very very small margin- and then you get the Dimehead and NAM Plugin - and in A/B listening tests, the Sonulab NAM playback is undisguisable from the NAM plugin.

If (?) this is right - and it remains to be seen - we can pretty easily deduce that Anagram does not natively support NAM but rather it too uses a [seemingly very bad] import conversion algorithm.

Makes me wonder too - maybe (?) it is true (?) - its been 4 days since Leo's 1st general Anagram video - 2 days since his Anagram Latency Test Video - yet somehow, still no Null Test results - which has been his bread-and-butter video advantage in the last 3 - 6 months ?!?!?!?!?!?

AD/DA "tuned for guitar"?

It's not an insane statement - AD/DA, much like anything else audio, is a compromise. Bass guitar doesn't produce overtones over ~5KHz so you could (potentially) improve noise figures by reducing frequency response.

Having said that, i highly doubt there's anything bass-specific about converters in the Anagram.

I like my AD/DA like I like my strings. Tuned for guitar.

I wonder if it does Drop D conversion too.

about the null testing, we should probably know very soon, when Leo Gibson will release his video. Or maybe he will not make it ;) I mean, Darkglass has sent him a free unit and he already made a "just ok" latency testing, that Darkglass didn't agree with. So releasing a "Bad NULL test" video would be very harsh, even if true. I believe he will let Darkglass figure out what's wrong before releasing the results.

So you didn't test it then?

You seem to be saying conflicting things.
In the youtube comment you are saying it's really bad.
In this thread you are saying it's a great product.

No company deserves this, and no customer or potential customer deserves to be mislead by you saying things that are simply not true.
