Classic stacks sounding a little bland, any replacement ideas?

Had them for quite a while now, they are sort of ok, I'm ready to try something else. Little 59 still rocking though.

Still want noiseless ones. The obvious choice seems to be the Dimarzio Areas. Hs3s maybe?

Nice guit! Can't go wrong with Areas imo. I have a handful of the different area models and they're all great.

I guess these are all sort of in the area family?:
Area '58 - beautiful in the neck pos. nice top end without being harsh, but still punchy.
Injectors - full and more weighty. very nice in all pos.
Virtual vintage '54 Pro - awesome in neck pos. Might be my current favorite in this group.
Virtual vintage heavy blues 2 - currently have it in bridge pos. :chef

For rail singles, Cruiser is my go to. It's my no.1 choice of any pickup in the neck pos. Killer in middle pos. too.
Chopper, or a Super distortion S in the bridge are both awesome. Fast track 1 is solid too.

Had Cruisers on an Ibanez AT I had for a while, sounded pretty good. I don't know if they would balance properly with the little 59 though.

My only gripe with the Areas is that I had them for a while quite a long time ago and I don't remember being all that happy. Everyone raves about them... Maybe it was the guitar I had them in, I don't really know/remember.

I really wish I could have some Lindy Fralin Split Blades. Never really tried them, but I've tried some other offerings and they were all awesome, specially their Pure PAF, best PAF style pickup I've ever tried... But I'd be lying if I said it has nothing to do with how they look :bag . They would look absolutely gorgeous on this guitar :love:grin
