Seconds ago ordered a 75w creamback. When it arrives I’m pulling the 65 cream out of my Madison (that’s paired with a redback) putting the 75?9! There and restoring the 65 to my silver face DR

It used to have an old Jensen c12n in there that I thought sounded terrible. Total game changer when I first had it in there

Yeah the ceramic Jensons aren't that good and Alnico is where it's at for those IMO like a P12Q.


Definitely don't like the ceramic Jensons and they are very mid honky, have flabby bass and screeching highs.

I like the G12M and G10 greenbacks. I've used older V30's in my Twin Reverb combo for a number of years.
I've not tried Creambacks or Redbacks yet, maybe one day soon. Curious about the Hempback as well.

My 1960A has MIC G12M Greenbacks in it. They’ll never leave that cab. It sounds perfect. My Metropoulos 2x12 has G12H 75s. Lows feel a bit deeper, treble clearer and mids slightly more “balanced” vs the G12Ms. Not better or worse but different enough. Love that cab too. I also have G10 Creambacks in my Vibrolux thst I wasn’t thrilled with but after months of playing that amp and using my in 1960A cab in 4 ohm mode as an extension, those speakers have broke in a bit and are where I wanted them. Also excellent.

I like both the Alnico Blues and the Greenbacks. It'd be cool to mix one of each in a 2×12" configuration. If it's even possible, with the diffrences in power handling capability and impedance. The Alnico Blue might overpower the Greenback because of it's lower peak power capability. Not sure, don't know enough about electronics. But if you could get them to match up in volume, it'd probly sound awesome.

In the past I've had a 4x12 with G12T-75's and an open-back 2x12 with V30's that I'd stack up on the 4x12. That combination was great but it almost seemed like the 2x12 was always more present and cutting.

Now I have a 2x12 with Greenbacks that I've had for about 2 years maybe? I'm enjoying it. I had a plan to take the 65w Creamback out of my 100w Katana Mk2, grab a second Creamback and swap them into the 2x12...but it's the same Peavey cab that JT has, so maybe not!

Have a ‘72 1960A with Weber 1225s w pre Rola doping.

Have 2 OS 1x12s with Classic 80s. I actually have not been digging the CL80s lately and am probably going to swap out 1 with a V30 or maybe a 12L EVM
