Can I ask a stupid question?

Do all ToneX pedals ie, OG, One, Anniversary sound the same? Given the same capture file are they indistinguishable?

Just curious about possible sonic differences.

I’m pretty sure the only functional differences between the two are the ability to choose more tones and use MIDI on the big one. They use the same profiles.

They both say:
  • Ultra-low noise, 24-bit/192 kHz converters.
  • 5 Hz–24 kHz frequency response
  • Up to 123 dB dynamic range
  • USB connection/ 24-bit/44.1 kHz audio interface

Oh, the Tonex One only has the SE version of the software which means it comes with less profiles stock.

I’m very happy with the Tonex One.

Thank you! I saw that but thought the size differences might have meant some internal compromises.

Worth mentioning that according to what some people have measured (e.g. Leo Gibson’s video on the Tonex One), the Tonex One does actually have slightly less latency than the full size Tonex, but iirc the difference is like 0.8 or 1ms or something, so not a huge deal for most situations.

If you set the input trim the same, they sound the same. The differences come down to size, features, and price between the OG Pedal and the One, and the special editions are just color and bundled content on identical hardware.
