Too cool. I’ve been thinking about upgrading my DSLR to mirrorless, but shit like this has got me feeling like

I was reminded earlier today, that my buddy has been an avid videographer since Sony beta days.

I realize this thing is likely going to be documented by him. I love not having to do film on a trip.

I’m sure I’ll take some shots, but being behind the viewfinder is a great way to ruin a good walk.
 
Phone cameras have gotten ridiculously good lately. This pic convinced me to stop carrying around my d750. This was taken with an iPhone 12. I made a 16x20 print as a test and I couldn’t believe how good it looked. Maybe a little less detail at that size than a good DSLR, but definitely good enough to hang on a wall at that size

From the water shot it looked almost like the typical pics of Maroon Bells, not enough peaks and too much vegetation though.
 
I had actually never heard of this before. I’m glad you shared, it’s been interesting reading about it.
