I had the Arrows for about 2 days and that thing sounded like a bad buffer with a potent volume knob. Which was enough for me to not care much about their gain/boost/OD type pedals.

...and just read the Special Cranker (lol) is the same as mode 2 on the Plumes.

Can anyone elaborate on this?

Not saying it's false, but the Plumes is definitely in the TS/SD family, while, if I recall correctly, the Special Cranker is a modded Electra circuit.

So, both aren't really reinventing the wheel, as per usual, but their ancestry seems different enough.
