So some posts in the "Not Worth It" thread. Saw this vid posted and thought I'd make an official thread. Even though Boss hasn't even announced it

Not a ton of warbles if any from what this video is showing? Nor any softening of the attack from what I hear? Balance feature seems dumb but maybe for harmony purposes? It does capo up as well @Baba

I'm liking the XS-100 (depending on price). Midi, control pedal input, through jack. I hope it can be set up as a midi expression only pedal with no pitch shift on a patch. That would make it a multi-use winner.

I think the 100 is going to be $300ish? The OC-5 is getting replaced on the board with XS-1 at the very least. I could probably talk myself into this whammy version with not much effort :bag

$300 is at my edge. If sounds good and Boss doesn't cripple it in some stupid way I'll likely get one.
Holding breath on your Midi request, certainly; but the demo sounds very good imo. And especially since it's not super loud yet you don't hear any interference from the acoustic string sounds. He says it "sounds a little digital" (twitch) on higher strings on the higher octaves but that's to be expected. How smooth it is using it that way the model with the built in Exp is going to be the test I'd say.

Definitely sounds good, BUT, two problems for my use case scenario:

1. With all that an HX one does, I'm not sure it makes sense to spend the same money on a two-trick pony like the XS-1.
2. I need both pitch up and down, and I'm not bending down to get there, lol.

Meh, there's no better option for me right now, I have everything I need, including polyphonic pitch shifting, and whatever else I want/need, plus midi switching of the AMP 1, in the Stomp XL, on one small board. It wouldn't make sense, and would be impossible for me to try to shrink it any more than it is now.
