ok so i really love this amp, dont get me wrong, its a pretty minor gripe and easy to fix but why doesn't it have a noise gate?? they put so many effects and other bells and whistles in there. it seems like it would have one

i should have done more research.

is the gen 3 artist a lot better than the mkII? looks like a bloom button and different resonance type control? contour button in the eq section?
I don't have the Artist so can't comment specificly but comparing my Gen 3 Head and MkII 100w combo, Bloom and EQ Contour aren't anything special, and are things easily accomplished with the EQ1 and EQ2 blocks in the MkII.

The Pushed channel and Bluetooth control are what make it worth it to me. I'm kinda chuffed about not being able to arrange the effects as well on the Gen 3. MkII at least has the FX Floorboard software that lets you put the blocks anywhere and access the sneaky amps

OK lol I found the noise gate and think I've got it set pretty decent. Had another super fun time w this amp last night at rehearsal.

Next <probably> dumb question lololol is if you've taken the head and played somewhere else were you wanting to be able to adjust the gates' settings or was it fine? Same guitar, maybe a different cab, different room, similar volume levels but maybe slightly lower or higher.

Thanks!

It's fine, once the threshold is set there is no need to change it for different cabs. You only have to adjust it if you change gain levels, and even them it will likely fine for live, where the noise gets dispersed in the room anyway. .

I just bought a Waza Blue speaker, like in the Nextone Special, on Reverb. I may put it into my Artist MkII. I'm also eyeing a Waza cabinet with two of the green speakers. I'm considering swapping in the blue for one of the greens to make a 2x12 that combines both to use with some of my non-Katana heads. Could be fun.
