I might be thinking of the RE 202, I have both and one of them wouldn’t work on my PP3. Let me dig out the DM-101 and double check…

Can’t speak for anything else but my re-202 works fine with my Cioks and worked with my previous voodoo laps pp2 as well

Mine are both working now, but I do remember my 202 wouldn’t power up on my old board a few years ago. The problem now is that I have this insatiable urge to start building another board around one or both of them…

I looked at the SDE stuff a time or 50 but kinda wanted to pretend the magic of analog would bring something special to the table. It's out for delivery so we'll see soon enough

I’ve had the same line of thought on this, which is why I haven’t snagged any $95 Flashback’s or DD-Whatevers and I’ll probably go straight for a Belle Epoch…..before I inevitably get an SDE because I want it regardless.

That SDE is a big fat DUH for me. But I already have that and then some in different but digital form in FAS. I use that "logic" to keep that thought gear move at bay. Currently

I think that’s smart.

I look at digital delay and analog delay as two totally different effects for different purposes, but digital modelers like FAS already do a good digital digital. You don’t get a real analog analog in them though. So makes sense to go with true analog if you’ve already got the FAS handling the digital side of things

For me; I know I LOVE the FAS sheen that their effects give off. Beautiful stuff. This experiment is not that. For now at least

I totally get that, I think we’re in similar mindsets right now. I’m not even using my sde ATM because I don’t want this setup to have anything with a preset or digital settings.

Nice board! Is that a Carbon Copy bright up top? I was looking at that one as well.

I've been gigging the FM9/FR12 all this season and that won't change. I am digging the Multiwatt and board at home so this helps scratch that itch

Classic, vintage and modern are ungodly through this rig. V with DActivators, V with 500t, Tele with DiMarzio something or other. Modern mode boosted. Fucking fuck this analog stuff is

Honeymoon and all that but boy this sauce is FUN to play with. Mod on it's own is not a thing for my purposes but the modes above are GREAT. We'll see how it fares. The Multiwatt is a slay machine

I am curious to hear the carbon copy bright as a cheaper alternative. This is feature rich but I definitely don't see myself using the more esoteric modes. The 3 modes I am using though are ooof!

On another tip; this Micro Amp II as a boost is chunky AF with the Recto and this RAT clone is probably the best cheapie I have ever put on a board

Yeah the deluxe supposedly has volume drop problems as well so that's a no go. I have always lusted after the Way Huge stuff really across the board. If I really wanted to go nuts; the Suhr looks ridiculous too ESPECIALLY with onboard hi and low cuts for tone shaping. I can see low cut being super useful \m/


Edit for ixnay on the Carbon Copy. It's fine but too dark and the bright version isn't much better as well as feeling like a step backwards. Going to jam the DM.
