Did anyone notice these yet?
Yeah, it's the same pedal --- but the coloring is cool. They should change this to the standard. :rofl
The SD-1 looks particularly cool.

They look cool.

I have a 40th SD-1 in black and somehow it sounds different from my old yellow SD-1.

The 40th is a little more refined and slightly less mids where the old yellow is more gritty. I like them both.

I’ve been wanting a Blues Driver - anyone think the Waza is worth the extra $$$ or would this do the trick?

I got one of the 50th anniversary SD-1's, to go with my stock MIT yellow one and one of the black 40th ones. Can never have too many SD-1's :D
Any differences in sound for you?

I was surprised how different mine are.

Not having an SD-1 is like not having a guitar cable.

The 50th Anniversary pedals look like a shameless cash grab, though.
As a company, yes, the major goal is to make money but I wouldn't say it's shameless though? They're priced fairly low and 50th ann. is a significant milestone. Plus there are new players all the time that have never tried a Boss, maybe one of these fits the bill? It's just a limited color that might appeal to someone.
