Howdy all, was wondering if any of you guys know where I can shop for a painted SSS body
Preferably candy apple red and a good quality rosewood 22 fret neck
And I know Warmoth but thats way out of my price range, so was wondering if any alternatives

I have never actually built a partscaster though I've been wanting to for about 25 years.

There's a shop that's eBay only called The Stratosphere that has tons of Fender parts. Worth a look there.

You are correct, pickups mount to the pickguard so you can easily swap from HSS to SSS with a different pickguard. HSS routing is quite versatile.

If you can be flexible on the 2pt vs 6pt that would open things up for more options!

Mexican fender finished bodies are good value.

Hosco/ Allparts are good too but be aware of the 56mm neck pocket is 0.5mm wider than 2 3/16”standard Fender. Same in reverse with metric necks on USA bodies. This is a good reason to use a MIM Fender ,USA compatibility without the potential of tweaking it.
