Yep, plugged it in that first week and haven’t touched it since.More due to not playing quite as much after more than the pedal having any issues. I do need to tweak it a bit to taste, though, I like to find that point in a treadle’s travel where you can’t really tell there’s a wah pedal on but the sweep is so deep and wide on the Petrucci it’s not easy finding that spot.
I love how Petrucci does pick scrapes while rocking the wah one way. Such a cool sound!Hard not to fall into cliches when using a Wah. It's like the Pentatonic of Effects Pedals.
I had fun last night using a Wah as more of a filter (QOTSA) than as wakka-wakka machine.![]()
How many wahs you have now? I only have 3 currently.Hooked up the George Lynch Dragon Wah last night. Back to the RMC.
Blech!
It all ended with me busting out an Exp Pedal and using the in the box Wahs
in the Fractal. Kind of makes more sense.
I really just want to go shop for 3 or 4 more Wahs to add to the ones I am
not super excited about as it is. Crazy!![]()
Have you tried a jam?5 in house. Watching about 3 or 4 others online.
I only want a substantial throw on a non-reduced size Wah that is
not too murky at the heel and not too shrill at the toe.![]()
Never tried one, but I've listened to Greg Koch use one and it does have a nice tone -- didn't seem too bright or peaky. Nice vocal midrange.
I get it. I just love them and what they do...and I like to toss odd ball choices out. When everyone uses the same stuff ..and plays the same way.... everything sounds the same.Sooooooooooooooooooooooo close!
They are spendy. Very spendy.
I feel like going up above $150 to $200 max has been my limit
in the past. Getting a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe in the past hurt (and
I didn't love it!) at $200-ish. Same with the Xotic I just bought and
sold in a 2 week span.
$300-$400 Wah is reaching. For me.![]()
You want Fishman Fluences, bruh! And TMI on the 2nd lineI want that Cocked Wah/Nasal thing and it is hard to do with the Morley.
Sold the Xotic. I have big(ish) feet and I cannot lie.![]()
Bad Horsie II is BRIGHT AF iirc. I really like the Maverick and the Tremonti wah (treadplate aside). It might have been I did a back to back with the Bad Horsie I where that brightness really got me....Bad Horsie 2....
That's the part I love about it.....you can give a lobotomy from 100 yards..... without a permit!!!!Bad Horsie II is BRIGHT AF iirc. I really like the Maverick and the Tremonti wah (treadplate aside). It might have been I did a back to back with the Bad Horsie I where that brightness really got me.
That is the only drawback to the Morley, not being able to set a position. But you know that going in so no point in complaining about it.More Blah Blah Blahing about Wah Wah Wahing.
Couple of more Wahs incoming. I have often just reverted
to the Bad Horsie 2 as a does what I want default. I want
that Cocked Wah/Nasal thing and it is hard to do with the
Morley. So 2 different Dunlop Cry Baby variants coming in,
and another RMC.
Sold the Xotic. I have big(ish) feet and I cannot lie.![]()
Do it! Tone at 3:00.One man's Buxom Blonde is some other man's Ditzy Bitch.
Maybe if I use a DS-1 with the Bad Horsie 2 it won't be so bright.
