Blah Blah, Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla, Blah...., Blah Blah!!

My 7Kg Power Wah with the attached Power Chord wants to have a brief conversation with you. :idk

:ROFLMAO:

I had 2 Bad Horsie's in a row break on me, the treadle bent sideways on one and the optical light only worked half the time on the other. I wanted to love that pedal so bad cuz the Vai thing, but I've been back to Crybaby's ever since the 2nd one failed.

That's funny....I had a similar but reverse issues with the crybaby.....just got tired of the problems I was having with multiple variants.....ever since I switched to Morley, never had an issue.
But we love what we love.

TBF, I've broken a Crybaby before as well, possibly two of them, just not back to back!
That is strange, the treadle bit baffles me ...I'm a 300 lb dude and I have literally stood on mine, which may have caused my issues with the Dunlop ones I owned

...ok maybe I was 250 at the time, but still, that is crazy.

Was it the first one? Also, with the optical part there are some adjustments that can be fine tuned for taste. Did you ever fiddle with those?

Yeah, they were the first versions, less than a year after they came out. I definitely tried playing with the adjustments and that little flap, but thinking back on it, I'm pretty sure the LED inside had a shitty connection which caused it to work intermittently.

That sucks, because the way that I approach wah now... without having to click a toe switch and all the tweaks....just :chef

Really understand the whole bad horsie vibe, but I enjoy making noise!😝

The best feature is the selection of the mid point.... because then I can get that perfect tim sult thing going on ...and get trippy, without burning my shins like mad.

Haha! Must be a thing. My Bad Horsie 2 is the same way. Off kilter treadle, no light, and no battery door.
But it sounds great. :chef

I like being able to boost the Volume a tad to goose the front end when I engage it. Adjustable Contour
is cool, too.
Still use it every week at rehearsal/practice. :rawk

I love all kinds of Wahs. I hope to be burnt at the stake one day with a dozen+ Wahs at my feet.

Well maybe someday, someone might have to fix that led for ya ...I know a guy.

Also if anyone wants to donate any unwanted Morley pedals to my new Morley pedal shelter ...dm me. 🤣🤣🤣

Received tonight at 9:37PM WTF???!!

I don't love the aesthetics on the new line of Morley Wahs, but feel like I need to
purchase something from them. Fucking wow! :love

This is awesome!!

I had someone at Ibanez do this way back in the day via Jemsite, my 7V came with black pickup screws instead of gold, when I mentioned it in a post I got a PM a few minutes later asking me for a shipping address from a forum member with no public posts but clearly worked at the Bensalem shop in PA.

This is unsung hero stuff, the guys who lurk and just drop in when they can for things exactly like this. It definitely goes a long way!

Rifling through a few different Wahs last night I realized the perfect Wah does not
exist, and may never exist. :idk

Power Wah is massive and cumbersome, but has all of that travel that makes it so much
fun to use. Xotic XW-2 is one of those new mini-ass Wahs that could use a Napolean complex.
It is small, tidy, and kind of boring. Small wahs go away!

:horse

Teese Wheels Of Fire Wah can get all the sounds. Has that throaty/chewy slightly growling
thing going on that not a lot of Wahs offer. It also has the tweakability that is both a plus
and a minus. I wish it was housed in the Morley Mansion enclosure.

Also, what pedals take more of a beating than a Wah Pedal. We literally stand on them, and
then rock them back and forth. Then we stand on them some more.

I love the switchless and instantaneous nature of the Morley. You can't do any kind of cocked
Wah thing ala Ronson/Schenker with a Morley, though. :facepalm

Like I said at the jump---the perfect Wah does not yet exist. :hmm

This non cocked wah thing is the only thing that has bugged me about the Morley....and if they had a heel switch, actually on the treadle, that would hold the position until the treadle moved again.....that would be perfect....just my 2 cents.

Didn't you recently snag a Petrucci Wah @DrewJD82 ?? :idk

Yep, plugged it in that first week and haven’t touched it since. :rofl More due to not playing quite as much after more than the pedal having any issues. I do need to tweak it a bit to taste, though, I like to find that point in a treadle’s travel where you can’t really tell there’s a wah pedal on but the sweep is so deep and wide on the Petrucci it’s not easy finding that spot.
