This is my first post in this forum. I came by the Blackstar Amped 2 amplifier for a very good price by a happening and I could not be happier. What a excellent piece of gear it is! I can reduce my hardware setup a lot and sell my tube amplifiers together with half of the pedalboard with this unit. The sound and power is phenomenal for such a compact unit.
There is one thing that is not so very good: the manual! It explains the basic features but not the details which is a problem to understand how it actually works. There is a setting in Architect software to make the FX loop either Pre or Post but not explained what it actually does. Pre will make the FX loop "before the Reverb" but not clear if it's also before the Drive, Amplifier, Modulation and Delay?? If I connect a distortion pedal in the FX loop in Pre mode it sounds different than if it is connected before the Input. There is also no internal Noise Gate so I prefer to use it in the FX loop but after the pre-amplifier.
Do anyone have an understanding what Pre and Post setting actually does for the FX loop?
