I unapologetically support Ted Nugent just like I unapologetically support the following. "Guilty pleasures" be damned; I don't believe in that shit (near 30 years of KISS fandom will do that; I've been called a "f*ggot*" enough to not care).









*Note: It pisses me off I have to censor the horrible shit I've been called just to spare people's feelings. I got called it solely for liking a band who wore makeup and had long hair, which is ridiculous.

I would rather a "mean man" who says "terrible things" than some do good phony who is a reprehensible creep and has to go on an international apology tour struggle session for breaking the orthodoxy's goofy ass rules. People have a right to their opinion, just like I have the right to say their opinion is selective and hypocritical. ie, if you get mad over X because Y person said it, but don't get mad over the same or worse from your idol, then you're not to be taken seriously.

For instance, Gene Simmons (who was one of my favorite members of KISS) says stupid shit or does horrible things as a favorite pastime it seems, I still believes all of the barbs thrown his way.

Nugent lives the life he endorses. I think a lot of the people who hate him have never actually sat down and listened to what he has to say. Be it politics, the environment, supporting veterans, his work with youth groups, the guy really does push hard to make this a better world to live in.
