Another Reason I like this Place

No oppressive advertising or other such BS.

An adblocker takes care of just about all sites but still, some sites are just over the top with this crap IMO. I know people need to make money but is it any wonder I'm running a blocker.

Compare a single page load here:

and if I scroll to the bottom of the page I'm at this. WTF?

The site must just be ridiculous without a blocker.

The last time I was over there they had a full page modal popup for a Fender giveaway that loaded on every page that somehow got around uBlock Origin. I was able to manually kill it, but it was super annoying.

That's because it was one of their own implementations so it is not picked up by any common ad blocker rule.

They really messed up with the way that got triggered.
