It’s down to the push push pots themselves. The ones available are universally shit quality. These are the best of them but alpha minis with a not robust switch. Compared to the excellent cts push pull. I don’t recommend using the push push that is available but I have nothing against the idea.

Thanks, that’s good to know. The one I have is in my most expensive guitar. Sounds like a good thing I dont push it often!
