AI for album/flyer/band related artwork - Yay or Nay?

I just posted a vid from VoiVod where the video is composed of "AI animation". I am not sure what that fully entails and how much work is done on the "creator" side but it's pretty neat looking.
This is a really interesting application of AI imagery. Because it can generate new imagery from prior imagery, it can be used as a very efficient way to create frame-by-frame animation (e.g., you draw one frame by hand, and then use AI to evolve the frame to create motion).

In that video you posted, you can see the way it morphs objects into other objects. That’s sorta fundamentally how it works—it’s like distorting reality a bit, and the snap-fitting a new reality on top of it.

Some of the coolest AI animation examples I’ve seen just let the AI engine generate each new frame from the prior frame itself, without human guidance. It creates these crazy, trippy evolutions of one object or scene into another, with bizarre fluidity. Basically the computer equivalent of tripping balls and seeing new visual reality 🤣

Eventually this tech will be able to replace an entire actor in a movie with somebody else, for example. And it’ll do it almost real-time. You can pop your popcorn while it replaces Sylvester Stallone with Pauly Shore. :popcorn:rofl
