AFD100 first prototype pics (for nerds)

Hi, I took this one out of storage for some basic maintenance. It is the very first AFD100 prototype that was presented to Slash and that he took later on on tour with him.
Must have been done back in 2010 if I am not wrong.
I thought someone might be interested in seeing how it looked closer. It still has Slash's settings and the controls haven't been moved

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but from the photos it looks like it has four big ones and four smaller ones.

I bet they get nice and warm too. I play tube amps, because I’m in a finished basement that’s pretty cool, and they keep me warm.

Those are Capacitors.

5x12AX7, 4x6550: 4 gain stages + cathode follower (2.5x12AX7, half unused in this proto), tube FX loop (1x12AX7) and phase splitter (1x12AX7).

actually that cabinet came from a 2203 that was used by Jeff Hanneman, with the 'heineken' style front baffle. That's why we took it off...
It was intended to be used for development only but since it worked quite nicely Slash took it straight away

it is not "that" high gain like more modern amps but it is not bad. Think about early Dokken records, also recorded with an amp similar to this one.
