Those aren’t the dudes to demo those amps, but adding a Dual Rec, 5150 and Rockerverb to the existing Fender, Vox, Marshall amps is a great move. Plus all the IR’s snapped by York. And midi. And a screen.

Seems like a proper offering for the pedal amp crowd.

That modulation pedal sounds really good too.

Nice updates imho. And i just bought a ACS1 :rofl Got sweaty for a moment but then i reminded myself why I actually got the ACS1, which was to simplify everything and actually not having to many options and menus and stuff. And i bought it for 250$ which meant i could buy 2 other pedals to.

On Reddit I found that at least some of the upgrades will be backported to the first gen units. So @the swede should be good! Not sure if they will add the extra amp models, but maybe just upgrade the existing ones?

We'll probably get some demos of each pedal soon.

The little displays in a format this small is pretty cool. That's convenient for seeing at least some of the saved settings etc.

I guess the display makes everything easier and many users really want to see numbers on parameters. I’m just happy not having damn parameters/sliders anymore… such a relief. But i do think those led displays is unreadable once you’re standing up and playing (for those who do that kind of stuff haha).

I think it's fine, I don't think they are necessarily for live use in that way but so you can lean in and check your preset settings.

One of the big issues on my Strymons is that there's no indicators for what preset is on and I have to track that with my Luminite Graviton M1 MIDI controller instead. I'd love a little display like that on them so I can just look at the pedal.

And the purge begins!!!!
Think i might snag a R1 actually as Walrus will update the mk1 pedals with the new stuff,

From the Walrus Instagram:-

" ... Current Mako owners will be receiving updates as well. These will go live the same time MKII units begin to ship. We’ll do a separate post on what these updates are as well ... "

Man ... now that is how you run a pedal gear company in 2024 ......... are you listening UAD ... nah .... just kidding ... I know you don't give a flying f%ck about these sort of things ...

* If * the MK1 Pedals get the new Amps / algorithms / everything except for the OLED ( :) ) ...... that would make the Mk 1 Pedal a total no brainer.

Having said that .... this new Mk2 ..... 6 x Amps ..... fully revised Algorithms for all 6 Amps ...... 12 high quality IR's .... load your own IR ..... Noise gate ...... G/B/M/T + 2nd level menu for Presence and Resonance ..... fully programmable Midi Spec and FSW programmable with any Midi FSW .... stereo in/out etc..... all for US $449 ..... this is a f*cking insane package !

Yeah, I didn’t realize these also had reverb and gates. Pretty cool.
Dont think the ACS1 mk1 will get gate, the reverbs, expanded eq. Not all of them, the ui is what it is on the mk1 and i doubt there’s much more the switches could do. They’re kinda set already, hold and press. The only “free” or unassigned knobs are the mid and the room (if holding a switch for alt function).

The R1 mk1 used should be a killer deal now imho. As it will get the mk2 algos.

Those do look pretty sweet with the updates.

Although not sure why we now have Mako _1 v2 rather than just calling them _2.

You get the three new amps with an update?

I wouldn’t bet on that. It would be a great thing of them to do. But I don’t see how that would be implemented ui wise. As of now there are 6 possibilities (when combined with a press and hold of a switch) where they could add something.
Press and hold the bypass switch: the knob for mids has nothing on it. The room knob has nothing on it.
Press and hold the boost switch: four knobs has nothing on them.

Other than that, all knobs and toggles and switches are doing something.

Edit: oh… the toggle switches has open slots to I recon… if using press and hold switch.
