I've got a bunch of them, those were just the first page and a half. No biggie, I'm about 99,850 subscribers short of earning anything off YouTube.
Yeah, my main guitar channel is at 4.15K subs right now.You need 1,000 subs to monetize. Used to be 500 but then someone there decided to be a douche and up it. I was actually making a few hundred from my channel (with very few vids) until that happened. IIRC, I'm at 700+ now. I just haven't had the time or gumption to do a new vid in years. I got one a decade ago for an ACDC cover. What was crazy is that the person who filed the claim had also covered the same song and didn't own the copyright. So afaict, there was some schmuck filing claims and attempting to monetize other people's work, even though he didn't own the copyright.
Hi PLX, Copyrighted content has been detected in your video "FYLT cover 1132024". The visibility of your video is not impacted, but you can no longer monetize it. The copyright owner is now either monetizing it, or receiving analytics about it. This is not a copyright strike and does not affect your channel.Anyone else get these sort of notifications on yore channel ?
I think this kind of stuff is being done using an algorithm run by teh YouTube that scans every upload - and in my case - it keys off the vocal track.I got one a decade ago for an ACDC cover. There is no recourse without lawyer.
I don't doubt their algorithm can match audio tracks, what it apparently can't do is determine who is the original copyright holder.I think this kind of stuff is being done using an algorithm run by teh YouTube that scans every upload - and in my case - it keys off the vocal track.
Oh, I think YT knows, but they used to actually say it in the message you'd get.I don't doubt their algorithm can match audio tracks, what it apparently can't do is determine who is the original copyright holder.
