XRECER

Construction looks solid from the pictures posted. I like how you might be able to access the components easier than a rear access blocked by layers of PCB.

From that video it looks as if the value knob would indeed be the only thing allowing you to alter parameters.
If that's the case, it'd be a pathetic joke.

Edit: On closer inspection, there's some virtual mini faders, so you could possibly use those as well. But they're way too small. Still looking like a UI disaster.

But why on earth would I buy this thing over something else?

Just because.

Obviously, that's the same question I've asked myself. So far there's exactly zero reasons. Amp sounds seem to be pretty decent, but that's the case for any modeler in the >1k range (and as well for quite some cheaper ones). Others than that, on unit editing seems pretty bad and there's nothing about FX, wicked USP functionality or whatsoever.

Oh, stop, I forgot: It's made by experts. So there's your reason!

From the name I was mentally putting this in the hotone/valeton category. The new blackstar thing is like 350 bucks, but this is going to be over a thousand? I feel like for the money you’ve gotta do better than an engrish name. Gives amazon vibes.

$1,199.99 is a pretty aggressive price, but I doubt it’ll end up being that.
Nothing like competition, we all win in the end.
Depends if they want to sell a ton of them just keep it at that price. They’ll sell out and keep selling out but if they raise it to 1600 or two grand, then people have other options so it’s not so much a no-brainer to buy.

Ehhh, those clips sounded prety good, hope they put all those years of exp to making the effects great because with it loading full blown NAM profiles with good effects could be cool.
