XRECER

I assume the robot hand in the video is the Wrecker?
(also, I imagined a less violent wreckage -- like, its using AI to fuck up her credit or something).
I forgot about the robot hand, so yes that would be the Wrecker

Well, it's a brand new 12-footswitch "flagship" floor modeler... from a company no one knows anything about. I'd temper my expectations until the thing is actually out.

PS: If you work for XRecer, please stop putting inspirational quotes in English on your devices. It comes across as tacky.
It simply is tacky.

Fwiw, the switches actually don't look like encoder switches. Which would leave you with one single encoder to adjust values, the rest would be touchscreen operations. Defenitely not what my doctor ordered.

If $1200 really is the number, and they're delivering THAT much hardware...something's gotta give. AI can get some solid core tones with out a lot of development costs, but not a Holistic Modeling Platform (registered trademark of @Lysander )
Yes, great point. Total agreement that $1200 is gonna feel like a bargain with that much I/O, 10" touch screen etc. It does make me wonder too, whether something else will get shorted or not. If not, it would be a very compelling option for people jumping into modeling with no prior products to jade them.

These Chinese knock-off brands don't even really try to be English, do they?

Xrecer - is it Ex-Wrecker, X Racer, Ex Reecer, etc? Hotone - is it Hot Tone, Ho Tone, Hot One? Fakofis, Zity, Zengjo, Veiisar, are more gibberish brands out there.

I'm waiting for a vowel-less brand name like Wdrdrdrdrdrdr :rofl
I keep thinking it's too similar to XCreter.

They talk a lot about their pedigrees in their website copy. It will be interesting to see when they actually reveal who they are.
Maybe....They say 'decades' of experience without really going into any context, which to me if I had it, Id mention it. 10 guys with 2 years experience is 'decades' of experience cumulatively but in

That will be a nice feature but I bet ther will be lots of NAM devices that don't convert or whatever soon.
with NAM A2 around the corner insane levels of capturing will just be a commodity to anyone. It will be like the ability for a device now to load an IR

It’s like the 2000s saw a helix, QC and an FM9 and decided to melt them all together but added their shitty industrial “I can take a hit” military grade casing vibe

It’s Friday night and I’m a couple beers in now 🍻😈

All I could think while watching that (very obviously CGI) video was:

But... I was pleasantly surprised to see they had actual hardware at a NAMM booth! (A pessimist loves to be wrong.)

Those industrial/ modular lines may suggest that they're using fewer bespoke parts, and tending instead toward off-the-shelf parts, bolted together with trim to hide the seams. All those edges and layers from the screen down to the first platform of footswitches are a bit of an eyesore IMO.

It’s a lot to look at. It’s like a fuckin cop laptop 😂

Which actually is fantastic, as it'll force modeler makers to finally deliver some more goodies but lame amps.
