I'm just glad they made the touchscreen usable by metal robot hands...

If this thing is as AI inspired as the ad copy, those footswitches will all be capacitive-touch rotary encoders and so closely spaced that every time you try to use them, you accidentally touch a different switch and you wind up tweaking a wildly different parameter than intended.

They should partner with these guys

Looks like a QC knock off on some level, but bigger screen/footprint. Feels like that big, somewhat costly, floor processor space is getting crowded. New products at both the high and low end are feeling like remixes of existing stuff at this point.

And pandora's box is already opened in capture land with all this AI nonsense. LOL.

All that said, this is a cool looking device. Would have been super compelling to me four years ago.

As a consumer, I kind of want to see NAM take hold as a standard for caps. Not because I love NAM but because its open and could be used to establish a standard. Dozens or proprietary capture formats limit the sharing and marketplace efforts for caps.

Competition drives innovation

On the one hand, I'm more excited about stuff this NAMM than any year since well before COVID.

On the other hand, gear in general is all soooooooo good, it's hard not to be really blasé, jaded, and skeptical about so much stuff.

Specifically for this thing:

If $1200 really is the number, and they're delivering THAT much hardware...something's gotta give. AI can get some solid core tones with out a lot of development costs, but not a Holistic Modeling Platform (registered trademark of @Lysander )

Well, it's a brand new 12-footswitch "flagship" floor modeler... from a company no one knows anything about. I'd temper my expectations until the thing is actually out.

PS: If you work for XRecer, please stop putting inspirational quotes in English on your devices. It comes across as tacky.

Nothing is as inspirational in the English language than Ex-Wrecker. If thing's got a good UI, sounds half decent AND can go wreck some of my exes...I'm in!

Pretty much this.
I also think that if this had the potential to really break into the high end market, we've seen some more content already. I mean, everybody and their mum does proper amp sounds today, especially when you slap in a capture playback block of whatever sorts. But there's a lot more about a HMP than just the amp sounds possibly also including some proper component modeling.
I mean, a unit like this should as well have some kickass FX onboard - or at least a whole variety of pretty decent ones. But there's nothing to be found about those. No rave NAMM visitor reviews, either, just nothing.
Apart from the shiny look and the new website, all of this smells pretty much as if Mooer had launched another of their GE units - sure, somewhat turbocharged but still nothing worth writing home about it.
