Why are guitar players so weak?

Seriously, what is up with people? All these musicians that can’t manage to lift a 2x12 cab and have to use an ""FRFR"" that weighs the same as a bag of sugar.

You even see it with things like the Helix. “Oh it’s way too big and heavy”. I mean really? It’s less than 7kg? Can you not even pick up a big watermelon that weighs about the same?

And don’t get me started on guitars. Trying to sell some currently and it’s a constant “what does it weigh?” I don’t know, but I do know that you don’t even have to lift it that much because it hangs off a strap. And my 3 year old can have it on her lap without complaining so I’m sure a grown man will manage.

Rant over, for now.

For most of my youth I used a Marshall half stack in Anvil cases.

Now I've got a SS amp and a 1x12" that produces as much thump as a 4x12". Screw that heavy stuff, I'm an old man.

I still carry a Fractal in a case and play a Les Paul Custom, if that makes it any better.

Easy- put casters on the 4 back corners of the 4x12 and get a children's tent to put on top. Now you gotta 4x12 trailer. Just put a hefty eye screw through the top of the 4x12 so you can use some twine to tie it to your bike.

I’m liking where your heads at. Let’s mcguyver this thing.

Make sure the 4x12 has casters. Turn that tent into a sail and attach it to the top of the cab, FuzzFace steering wheel, maybe a 70s Strat as the rudder and just ride that bad boy to the gig and show up in style.

I'm not on the low-weight train yet. I'm also not gigging right now, but I've already hauled my live rig around enough to know I'm happy to 'deal' with it until my body tells me not to anymore. You can stack a lot of shit on a 2/4x12 with casters and there's pretty much no elevation around here in the slightest bit, I'll never have to move it up or down a hill, slope, or my favorite- parking lot on the side of a ski lodge built into the side of a mountain sloping down 45 degrees.

I've barely even had to go up or down a flight of stairs in Florida, now that I think about it. I certainly don't miss that about New England.

Maybe in case I'd buy a battery amp, I could play guitar while driving...

I remember driving through Ocala a few times and seeing 2 story residences in horse country down there, but yeah it’s nothing like here in NJ.
I just counted the stairs here.
14 steps from the lower level to the upper level 😂

Shit, if there's a Fuzz Face on it, might as well slap a small class D amp in the cab and maybe the small ToneX pedal. Properly warm up on the way to a gig.

This can be expanded to all instruments. I've got some pretty game changing ideas about a frame you can put drums into that turns them into tires, regardless the size of the drums. I think it's time we take this to Kickstarter.

Guitarists are also subject to aging and illness. I wish that you can keep your health and youth for a long time.

Just wondering what 1x12 you’re using? I have recto 112, an evh 112, mesa 212, and none of them can thump like my mesa 412’s. Fractal guy here as well for many years. Mostly use matrix or SD power stage , tho I occasionally tap into my roadster or stealth head. If I could find a good 112 with the balls my 412’s have, I’d buy one today…which is why I’m asking.
