Sugar like Bob Mould’s band Sugar? Because…whoa. I need that in my life.

_File Under Easy Listening_ was how I learned you could make speakers catch fire if you played music loud enough. :D

Yes! They're doing a few nights at First Avenue this fall. Should be super cool!

I was born in 83 so I missed like all the cool live music up until 1995, but this will be a sweet show. Kinda like when I got to see the Replacements on their extremely short reunion.

Ghost last night in Columbus.

Good and fun show, but I stayed away from set lists going in, and was quite disappointed by the lack of songs from Impera (only one - and it was one they didn’t play on the Imperatour). I was also on the right side about midway back just above the lower bowl, and the sound was not that great.

I saw Simon Phillips last week.

All new material (except the encore) from the upcoming Protocol VI album.

The songs don't even have titles yet!

Good stuff - Simon is most excellent, as is his band!

It was bassist Ernest Tibbs 76th birthday and if I was asked before that was announced, I would have guessed he was maybe 50 :o

Went to “untz is dead” the other night

Dancey heavy improved dead covers featuring the recently ex-drummer of the disco biscuits. Good shit

Went to see Suede with the wife recently. I only knew their greatest hits from the 1990s so it was fun to hear basically a lot of new songs. They put on a good performance. Brett Anderson sounded great and had a lot of stage charisma. Nice gig!

I felt bad for the poor stage hand who had to make sure Anderson's mic cable doesn't get tangled the many times he walked down stage close to the audience. The guy was working overtime making sure that cable does not catch anything! :D
