Which is worse - limited blocks or limited paths??

I don't know that I have a problem with either. I do all my playing in mixes with vocals and several other instruments, and a pretty straightforward signal path and a few effects tends to give me what I need. And for really distinctive stuff, I often use dedicated pedals (things not widely enough known to warrant modeling) anyway.
