Speaker design is not a big mystery. Seriously, this is actually well studied and somewhat settled science in the rest of the audio world. Hifi designers know exactly what influences the sound and seek to eliminate anything they can’t control. Their results look nothing like guitar cabs.

Call me crazy but Ive got a beat Marshall 4x12 that ive been thinking about stripping to the bare wood. I notice Scumback is selling "naked" cabs as an option and some folks dig the sonic difference. Any thoughts?

I know!!!! I have always used a router and a circle gig. It works great, but that looks so much easier!

Which is the thing I don't like about Jim Lill. He runs on a premise, then doesn't check the existing research into the subject. He makes entertaining videos but they are not scientific and should not be taken as gospel like many seem to do.
