Unless they have been working on another device for the last few years it really isn't possible, and DI knows and said you are wrong. So, the odds that you are correct are somewhat less than the odds that you get hit by a meteor less than an hour after you win a billion dollar lottery prize you didn't even buy a ticket for. Good grief. Do you realize how long the development cycle is? Do you think it would make any sense to do all the work they did for Stadium for it to have a short life while working on its replacement in parallel? That would be some very poor planning on their part.

There is a reason absolutely no one who knows anything agrees with this take. It's just plain wrong.

The fact that they kept the helix name in the new product tells me that this is an term bridge product so they released it with all the old helix stuff because it bloated the product itself. I mean, if it was just a agora it wouldn’t be hardly anything in that product.
So this may be more of a bridge product to a new flagship coming within the next five years and then this will be the helix that will be supported, and the helix LX and original helix will probably be discontinued at that point

Product development is EXTREMELY expensive. Maintaining more than one architecture for any length of time is also prohibitively expensive.

I think it more likely that the Stadium line provides a bridge from the old to the new. You definitely got that right; however, the Stadium will definitely be the new platform and I fully expect to see a complete product lineup based on the new architecture.

Having backwards compatibility with the existing Helix lineup just gives the new platform an instant boost in capability. At this price point, it would not have been acceptable to provide so few options that were limited to the new amp models.

Not what I said. I said it is a bridge to itself.... or more accurately, it is simply backwards compatible. Thus the "EXTREMLY EXPENSIVE" comment.

IIRC, when the Axe FX 3 original launched, other than the hardware, it was much closer to the Axe FX 2 than it is today.

Is the Axe FX 3 a bridge product because it shares the same name as the earlier Axe FX iterations?

I guess it’s kind of what I meant. I just didn’t express it properly
Yes, I meant that it’s more of a bridge product to me from what I can see that’s not saying anything negative I mean it’s good. They’re developing more of the new modeling and they’ll probably add new effects later but yeah, the screen is cool and it does a heck of a lot with that screen compared to other touchscreens that are out right now so it’s setting a standard.
